From Genesis to Convergence: Launching Nillion’s Petnet

Tech Updates

The Nillion Incentivized Genesis Sprint has now ended. Phase 1 marked the official launch of our public testnet for the Coordination Layer. Over the past month, the community has rallied to evaluate the chain’s baseline performance through load testing and identify potential issues.

Initial Phase 2 Deployment

We’ve entered the Catalyst Convergence phase, marking a big milestone in the Nillion Network’s evolution. This phase brings the seamless integration of the Petnet with our Coordination Layer, opening up a world of possibilities for decentralized application (DApp) development.

What does this mean for you?

  • Build and deploy Blind Apps directly on the Nillion Network
  • Use $NIL tokens from our faucet to fuel your project
  • Access SDK functionality by interacting directly with the testnet
  • Leverage the Petnet for secure storage and computation
  • Manage and process sensitive data using Blind Computation

Nada AI Package Deployment

Over the past month, Nillion has published Nada AI and Nada Numpy, two libraries that help make it easier for developers to build AI applications on the Nillion Network. With these libraries, developers can:

  • Import and run pre-trained AI models within the secure Nillion environment
  • Perform array operations and data manipulations using Numpy-like syntax
  • Implement both integer and non-integer numeric computations in a privacy-preserving manner
  • Integrate machine learning algorithms compatible with Nillion’s decentralized infrastructure
  • Build and deploy AI applications that maintain data privacy while delivering accurate results

Accelerating Towards a Decentralized Future

With new AI libraries empowering developers, we’re making strides towards viable privacy preserving AI. The Nillion ecosystem continues to evolve, opening new possibilities for secure, privacy-first applications across industries.

Private inputs, public trust—this is the heartbeat of the Nillion network.

About Nillion

Nillion is humanity’s first Blind Computer. It is powered by a decentralized network of nodes that enables “Blind Computation” through the coordination and orchestration of privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) such as multi-party computation (MPC), fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) and zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP). Nillion believes Blind Computation will become the internet’s base layer for all private data as PETs continue to mature. Nillion has attracted a notable initial cohort of Blind Computation builders across AI, DeFi, medical data, custody, wallets, global identity, messaging, and more.
